Sandcastle Homes, the premier luxury homes in Houston TX homebuilder, is celebrating 25 years in the home building market. We have reached a significant milestone and thought we would share how far we have come and how much we have grown over these past 25 years.

It all began more than two decades ago when Mike Salomon and Mike Dishberger recognized the future potential of the untapped Inner Loop new home market and foresaw inner-city living becoming popular again. These two visionaries teamed up to become homebuilders and form Sandcastle Homes in 1995. Since then, Sandcastle Homes has been providing quality and value for homeowner’s in Houston. Salomon and Dishberger bought the first Sandcastle lots on Sandman Street in December of that year. Throughout our first couple years, we continued to rapidly grow by constantly pushing the boundaries of developing areas, such as Cottage Grove, Garden Oaks, and Rice Military, to create new home markets where none had existed before. Other builders took notice and followed suit, and today, at least 100 builders are active in Houston’s Inner Loop new home market.

After experiencing immense success with Enclave at T.C. Jester in Shady Acres, we began to focus on developing and building gated communities in the Galleria area and Inner Loop Houston in 2004. From that time on, we have closed an average of 50 homes per year and landed on Builder Magazine’s list of the fastest growing home building companies from 2004 to 2007. From 2017 to 2019, we earned Houston’s Best & Brightest Companies to Work for from the National Association for Business Resources. In 2016, our very own Mike Dishberger was awarded Builder of the Year by the Texas Association of Builders.

Today, we are building in 10 Houston communities from the Houston Heights to Spring Branch to Montrose.
